Frequently Asked Questions

All ages are allowed. We have multiple age categories from 6 and under to 17+.

Solo Categories are:

  • Newcomer
  • Novice
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

The regional events are the qualifiers for the British Dance Championships and Soar World Championships. You cannot participate in the British Dance Championships or World Championships without first qualifying at the one of our regional competitions. International Schools can qualify via contacting the SOAR Team for more info.

Yes! We encourage spectators to come and watch our competitions

RULES

All dancers competing at SOAR must complete their full registration no more than 14 days before a regional event and 4 weeks before a British/World Championship.

There is no registration or amendments after the deadline date or on the day.
